Can a guitar amplifier be used for a bass?
Yes, a guitar amplifier can be used for a bass, but it may not produce the best sound quality. Guitar amplifiers are designed to emphasize the mid-range frequencies that are characteristic of a guitar, while bass amplifiers are designed to handle the lower frequencies of a bass guitar. Using a guitar amplifier for a bass may result in a loss of low-end and a less defined bass tone. It is recommended to use a dedicated bass amplifier for the best sound quality. **
-
Can you use an electric guitar amplifier for the bass?
While it is technically possible to use an electric guitar amplifier for a bass guitar, it is not recommended. Bass frequencies require more power and headroom than a guitar amplifier can provide, which can result in distorted and muddy sound quality. Additionally, using a bass guitar with an electric guitar amplifier can potentially damage the amplifier due to the lower frequencies produced by the bass. It is best to use a bass amplifier specifically designed to handle the unique characteristics of a bass guitar for optimal sound quality and equipment longevity. **
Can you connect an electric bass to a guitar amplifier?
Yes, you can connect an electric bass to a guitar amplifier, but it is not recommended. Guitar amplifiers are designed to amplify the frequencies produced by a guitar, which are higher in pitch compared to those produced by a bass. This can result in the bass sounding thin and lacking in low-end frequencies. It is better to use a bass amplifier that is specifically designed to handle the lower frequencies produced by a bass guitar for optimal sound quality. **
How does one determine the scale factor and scale?
To determine the scale factor, one must compare the measurements of corresponding sides of two similar figures. The scale factor is calculated by dividing the length of a side in the larger figure by the length of the corresponding side in the smaller figure. The scale is then determined by using the scale factor to create a ratio between the measurements of the figures. This ratio can be used to accurately resize or recreate the figures at a different scale. **

Gibson EB-0 Refinished White c.1966-'69 Short Scale Electric Bass Guitar white - RefurbishedThis is a Gibson EB-0 short-scale electric bass guitar in, which has been Refinished in a White colour. Initially introduced in 1959 in response to the declining popularity of the EB-1, the EB-0 was positioned as a more budget-friendly option for bass players, with its stripped back electronics helping to keep the retail price around $240- equivalent to around $2500 today. The bass remained in continuous production until 1979, and was a very popular instrument amongst musicians of the day, notably being the bass Jack Bruce used with Cream during their Disraeli Gears era. Pre-1969 Gibson serial numbers are notoriously poor tools for determining the manufacture date of an instrument. Naturally featuring a set-neck construction, the body & neck are Mahogany, whilst the fingerboard is Rosewood. Due to the production era, it is likely that this is Brazilian Rosewood. Nickel hardware is fitted, as well as the custom made '60s Mudbucker' humbucking pickup, wound by Rob Williams Luthier, replacing the original Gibson 'Sidewinder' pickup. This is wired to master volume & tone controls. The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile that might be described as a rounded, tapered shape which feels somewhat like a 'D' in the lower register and transitions to more of a 'C' as you climb the neck. This sits very comfortably in the hand and encourages ergonomic thumb positioning across the register. The short 30.5" scale length is perfect for those with smaller hands or guitarists moonlighting as bass players. Certainly, the neck feels highly manoeuvrable, with the gloss finish to the rear further assisting with smooth navigation of the fretboard. The Rosewood is supremely pleasant under the fingers and adds a touch of luxury to the playing experience. The Rob Williams custom wound 'Mudbucker' humbucking pickup delivers a thick and powerful tone, with smooth rounded lows, clear and open mid range and a sweet treble response that captures the attack and aggression of your playing. The pots feel nicely responsive, allowing you to dial in your perfect tone with ease, whilst the simplicity of the controls ensure that you can stay focussed on your playing whilst still offering comprehensive control of your tone. This is certainly a special bass that has been favoured by many musicians through the wonder years of the 60’s and 70's and onwards, this bass allows you to plug into history.1970,00 £*Shipping: 0,00 £Secure redirect to the provider

Ibanez EHB1505MS-PLF Multi-Scale 2019 Headless 5-String Electric Bass Original - RefurbishedThis is an Ibanez EHB1505MS-PLF Multi-Scale Headless 5-String Electric Bass in Pacific Blue Burst Flat finish. Made in Indonesia in 2019, this bass consists of a Selected Light Weight African Mahogany body with a Poplar Burl top, a 9-piece Panga Panga/Walnut neck, and a 24-fret Panga Panga fingerboard. Other appointments include a MR5HS bridge, Black hardware, and a set of Nordstrand Custom Big Split Pickups. These pickups are wired to controls for volume, balancer, EQ bypass switch, and a Vari-Mid 3-Band EQ. The 9-pc Roasted Panga Panga/Walnut EHB5 neck plays exactly as expected from Ibanez's EHB range. A sleek and fast design with a rounder D profile than the more modern speed necks allows for a more traditional feel to a notably modern design. The satin finish to the neck feels comfortable under the thumb, allowing easy gliding up and down the register. The headless construction of the bass ensures that neck-dive will never be an issue, coupled with the ergonomic shape of the body, this bass is a delight to hold and play. The Nordstrand Custom Big Split Pickups pickups have a natural warm tone that present full bodied notes with clarity. The range of controls that are available to the player give a wide variety of tonal range that can be explored with multiple combinations. The Vari-Mid 3 band EQ offers an extraordinary range of controls designed to offer the player the ability to dial in the perfect tone with the utmost precision, featuring a Mid frequency & mid boost/cut control, treble boost/cut or passive tone and a bass boost/cut. If this wasn’t enough the pickup balancer also offers a smooth blend between the pickups that the player can choose to engage in any setting. Fender Telecaster Bass Blonde 1977 Vintage Electric Bass Guitar Vintage Blonde - RefurbishedThis is a Fender Telecaster Bass in Blonde finish. Made in the USA in 1977, this bass comes from the second run of Telecaster Basses which were available from '71 up to their discontinuation in 1979. The original version was introduced in 1968, and was largely a reissue of the original Precision Bass, featuring Telecaster inspired features such as the small headstock, solitary single-coil pickup and separate control plate. In 1971 the design was updated to include some of the well-known CBS era appointments including the bullet truss rod nut and 3-bolt micro-tilt neck plate. Additionally the pickguard was re-designed to incorporate the controls and Fender's new Seth Lover-designed Wide Range pickup. The model was discontinued in '79, but has enjoyed several subsequent reissues as part of the Squier Vintage Modified series & Fender's Vintera II lineup. Naturally, a bolt-on construction is employed, and comprises an Ash body, Maple neck and 20 fret Maple fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a top-loading 4-saddle bridge with cover and Fender open-geared tuning machines. A Fender Wide Range Bass humbucking pickup is installed on the 3-ply black/white/black pickguard, and is wired to master volume & tone controls. The Maple neck plays very comfortably, with what might be described as a ‘U’ profile. This fillsthe hand reassuringly whilst still allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The double cutaway body design offers extended access into the upper register which works well with the gloss finish to the rear of the neck, allowing for smooth navigation of the 34” scale. The frets are on the larger size, feeling similar to modern medium jumbos. These feel great under the fingers, and provide the versatility required for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The Wide Range Bass humbucker installed in this guitar had only been introduced in 1971, so the Telecaster bass was one of the first instruments to feature the pickup as factory standard. The Wide Range Bass humbucker makes use of 4 magnetised pole pieces rather than the bar magnet and screw arrangement of the Gibson PAF. Due to the difficulty of machining AlNiCo (Aluminium/Nickel/Cobalt) into threaded rod magnets, Fender chose to use CuNiFe magnets (Copper/Nickel/Iron) instead. As they produce less output than AlNiCo magnets, more windings were needed to produce enough output- resulting in a much larger enclosure than a typical humbucker. The tone is full-bodied and warm, filling out the bottom of the mix very nicely whilst still capturing all the snap and attack of your playing. A seriously cool instrument in astonishing condition. This is because between ‘77 and ‘78 Fender switched from using a string-thru bridge, to a top loading bridge. This means the body of the bass does not have holes and ferrules for a string-thru bridge. Please see the pictures of the body and neck attached to the listing.
